The end of the handmaids tale

The ending is quite like an anti-climax, however it does leave us open to some sort of hope. Although the hope is not as great as we as a reader would hope. In my opinion, i find offreds character pretty annoying, she us described as a "wimp" by moira and offred is also too greedy! Whilst she goes through relationship with the commander, she falls in love with nick, whilst still married to luke! Even serena joy calls her a "slut" although we do not hear much from her, you cannot help but understand where she is coming from.

Handmaids tail so far....

This book is really weird and explicit man! Women in today's society shouldnt take their positions for granted and they shouldn't worry about male colleagues getting paid a little more than them would you rather be like offFred? I think not. The commander being religious could mean that the whole idea behind the making of the handmaids is to do with religion, the commanders authority has been known and referenced in the novel but now we can see what it's really like as he is introduced much more and now we can understand the commander more clearly although he presents a complex character within.

Serena joy

Serena joy is one of the commander's wives. She cannot have any children so a handmad is used by the commander. However serena doesn't like the idea of this, and although she made speeches about how the handmaids are important and now it's like she is against it, it's quite ironic.
